Privacy Policy

Last updated: 02 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information KISSAN LINK collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. KISSAN LINK is a digital management platform built for agricultural dealers — pesticide, fertilizer, seed and agri-input shops — and the customers, staff and suppliers connected to those shops through it.

By using KISSAN LINK, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect different information depending on how you use KISSAN LINK:

Dealer & shop information

When a shop registers, we collect the owner's name, CNIC, phone number, email, shop name and business address, used to create and secure the dealer's account.

Customer (farmer) information

Dealers may enter their own customers' name, CNIC, phone number, address and purchase/credit (Khata) history into the system to run their business. This data belongs to the dealer's business relationship with their customer — KISSAN LINK stores and secures it on the dealer's behalf.

Supplier information

Similarly, dealers may enter supplier company names, contact persons, CNIC, phone numbers, addresses and purchase/payment history.

Staff accounts

Dealers may create staff logins (managers, salespeople, inventory clerks) with a name, CNIC, phone number and an assigned role that controls what that staff member can see and do.

Technical information

Like most web applications, our servers automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and access times, used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide and operate the core features of KISSAN LINK — POS billing, inventory, customer Khata, supplier accounts, staff management and reports.
  • To let a dealer's customers and suppliers view their own account, purchases and invoices through the Farmer and Supplier Portals.
  • To send invoices, payment receipts and account statements — including, where a dealer enables it, over WhatsApp.
  • To authenticate logins and enforce role-based permissions across dealer, staff, farmer and supplier accounts.
  • To maintain audit logs of account activity, for security and dispute resolution.
  • To maintain, secure and improve the platform itself.

3. How We Protect Your Data

We take the security of business and personal data seriously. KISSAN LINK is built with the following protections in place:

CNIC encryption

National ID numbers are stored encrypted, not as plain text, in our database.

HTTPS / SSL

All traffic between your browser and KISSAN LINK is encrypted in transit.

Role-based access

Staff only see and do what their assigned role permits — e.g. salespeople cannot view purchase costs.

Dealer data separation

Each dealer's business data is isolated and never visible to another dealer.

Daily backups

Business data is backed up automatically so it can be recovered if something goes wrong.

Audit logging

Sensitive actions are logged with who performed them and when.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices and to improve them over time.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell business or personal data to third parties. Information is shared only in these limited circumstances:

  • With WhatsApp / Meta's Business API, only when a dealer enables WhatsApp notifications, to deliver that dealer's invoices and receipts to their own customers.
  • With hosting and infrastructure providers who store the servers and databases KISSAN LINK runs on, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and business data for as long as a dealer's account is active, so records like Khata history and past invoices remain available for the business. If a dealer closes their account, data is retained for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Rights & Choices

If your information is stored in KISSAN LINK by a dealer you do business with (for example, as a customer or supplier), you can ask that dealer to correct or update your details at any time. For questions about your data, or to request access, correction, or deletion, you can also contact us directly using the details below.

7. Cookies & Session Data

KISSAN LINK uses essential cookies and session storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences while you use the platform. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

KISSAN LINK is a business tool intended for use by adults operating or working with an agricultural dealership, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as KISSAN LINK evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of KISSAN LINK after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
